What are appropriate hair styles for job interviews?

If my hair lays flat on my head, bangs halfway down my forehead, half way over my ears, and a slightly long in the back, is there any way I could styles that for a job interview and still pass as 'clean cut?' I'm trying to grow my hair out. [Retail job or career, doesn't matter]

i dont think an hair style would influence a potential employer, its your skills they're after not your looks. im a contractor electrician and work with some right headcases and my hair is blue+ purple...... its also a good talking point in the pub with the ladies!!!!!

I believe that your hair is an important part to pay attention to when going to the interview. If you're growing it out you need to brush it back and make sure it doesn't get in your face at the interview. Whatever hair products you use, make sure that they don't make it look oily and or flaky.

Good Luck!

depends on how strict they are.

some employers will not allow men to have hair below the collar of their shirt.

others like my Boss do not care as long as you keep it tucked into your shirt.

you might have to pin it up or wear some type of hair net?

or you can stuff it under a hat maybe?

it's been my experience that if they need help they won't care about your hair but if they have many ppl to choose from they can often use piercings or tattoos or hairstyles as a way of thinning the pack so to speak.

good luck
